Synopsis

Lantern Shepherd and Kyle Rayner discover the shocking history of the ancient Dark Star of the Fenn!

Meanwhile, John Stewart is trapped in its orbit, trying desperately to save his mysterious new allies from the undead First World armies searching for him!

Can John prevent them from escaping the Dark Star and overrunning the universe? And can Shepherd find John in time to save his family from the mysterious new force now threatening the Earth, the shapeshifting STAR SHROUD?

Plot

Boston, Guy Gardner's Apartment: Caolan Sheperd is in Guy Gardners abandon apartment, paging through the Book of Oa learning about the origin of the Dark Star. According to the Book, the Guardians ancestors found the planet of the Old Gods and the Dark Star and wanted the power for themselves. They unleashed the Revenant Queen but where able to entomb her and left her there.

Dark Star of the Fenn: John Stewart and Enn-Shi lead the scientists and explores trapped on the Dark Star to someplace safe underground to avoid the next Olgrun's Will army's attack. Along the way John learns that the people who are on the Dark Star too long become Fenn and Byla has been waiting for John to come and help defeat Olgrun's Will. Soon the Fenn and Olgrun's army attacks and John is forced to fight back.

Steelworks: Shirley is attacked by Varron, and when Ellie tries to help her mother, she is ambushed by Varron's new power.

Dark Star of the Fenn: John sensing his mother is in danger makes the decision to stop fighting Olgrun's Will and instead attack the Gravity Well holding him trapped there.
